Join CBET Founding Director Kamal Rashid, PhD, as he hosts the first in a series of webinars on best-practices in biomanufacturing.
Title: “Take your bioprocessing to the next level. Current trends and future states of process intensification and process automation for production of biologics.”
Presented by CBET in partnership with Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences).
Date: October 21, 2020
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. EST
Moderator: Julian Rosenberg, PhD, Associate Director, CBET
Avril and Peter will lead the discussion on various topics and new developments within the biologics manufacturing ecosystem, including:
- How intensification can increase productivity, reduce process time, and reduce product cost
- Insights for integrating upstream and downstream processing through process intensification and automation methodologies
- The use of automation to reduce variability, reduce the need for human intervention and potential for human error
This webinar is free, but registration is required.
Strategic Technology & Innovation Leader
Peter is a subject matter expert on single-use products with extensive experience at Cytiva, formerly GE Healthcare, providing global technical support as the lead solution architect. Prior to Cytiva, he gained hands on experience in technical and manufacturing roles in biomanufacturing at Wyeth and as an engineer at Integrated Process Technologies. Peter is focused on designing customer-centric solutions that incorporate technologies that drive efficiency and flexibility. Peter will share the key considerations when integrating bioprocessing equipment into a new or existing facility.
Strategic Technology Partnership Leader
Avril became a Strategic Technology Partnership Leader at Cytiva in 2020. She brings strong experience from large scale bioprocessing and a profound understanding of process intensification to this role. Previously she was the leader of the Connected Biomanufacturing Program.
Avril joined Cytiva, formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences, in 2015 as a Bioprocess Hardware Specialist. She loves lending her large-scale bioprocess expertise to help colleagues select and implement process solutions that optimize efficiency and productivity. Her contributions have led to several successful tech transfers globally.
